Community Assessment Tools

After disasters, the communities who are affected are rarely involved in assessing the damages and loss that has affected them. One of the greatest community tools could be the women from poor communities, as they would be able to collect information that feeds into damage assessments. If these women were involved in these processes, then they would be one step closer to having a voice in the planning of recovery and reconstruction in their communities.
