The Federación de Mujeres Municipalistas de América Latina y Le Caribe works regionally throughout Latina America and the Caribbean to create space for gendered focus in local policy, supporting grassroots women’s voices in local governance.


Grassroots Organizations Operating Together in Sisterhood is a global network of women-led grassroots organizations working to give voice and power to grassroots women’s groups in decision-making processes.

International Council of Women

Founded in 1888, the International Council of Women is the first global women’s NGO, working for the advancement of women around the world.

Latin America Women & Habitat Network

The Women and Habitat Network is made up of NGOs and individual women, promoting women’s rights to safe cities, housing, credit programs and urban services.

Women & Peace Network

The Women and Peace Network is made up of five organizations across Central America, all supporting women’s leadership capacities to secure rights to land, safety and economic stability.

Women in Cities International

Women in Cities International is a network focusing on gender equality and women’s participation in urban development by identifying good practices, tools and intervention models.
