Land and Property: Safeguarding the Rights of Women

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), Pastoral Women’s Council (PWC Tanzania), Uganda Community Based Association for Women and Children Welfare (UCOBAC), and The Kenya Legal & Ethical Issues Network on HIV and AIDS (KELIN) are pleased to invite you to a virtual webinar on land and property rights for women. This webinar is in advance of the Generation Equality Forum 2021 and focuses on economic justice for women. The webinar will build on lessons learned through implementation of ICRW’s project entitled Securing Your Family’s Future in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, Experts will also reflect on how the rights of women concerning land and property have been impacted due to the pandemic, how best to protect women from an increase in gender-based violence, and ways to ensure equity in land and property.
