Asia-Pacific Regional Journey to Generation Equality Forum: Economic Justice and Rights

Join Jhocas Castillo, SOFP&DAMPA, and Prema Gopalan, SSP, at the UN Women event bringing to light conversations about women’s economic empowerment and discussions on ambitious actions to advance economic justice and rights with Action Coalition leaders, key institutions in the Asia-Pacific region from the public and private sector, civil society and the UN system.

The discussions will address systemic barriers, discriminatory norms and ways to accelerate progress through transformative laws, policies and financing. It will centre around four critical discussion points:

1. Increase women’s economic empowerment by transforming the care economy
2. Expand decent work and employment in formal and informal economies
3. Increase women’s access to and control over productive resources
4. Promote gender transformative economies
