Habitat III: Women's Roundtable

Quito, Ecuador: Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana, National Library

Thursday, October 20, 8:00am–10:00am

Today, many developing countries are experiencing rapid urbanization, yet gender inequalities — in decision-making at all levels, in access to and control over resources and employment opportunities, as well as in access to social goods, public spaces, and essential services – continue to threaten the realization of the New Urban Agenda. This Roundtable, hosted by the Women’s Partner Constituent Group of the General Assembly of Partners, will address these challenges and demonstrate what it means to have gender-responsive implementation and monitoring of the New Urban Agenda, and of intersecting global development frameworks.
