The Huairou Commission, its members, and several partner organizations have developed a comprehensive program that will garner space at the Forum for grassroots women to ensure their expertise and priorities are visibly recognized and integrated into the agreements and commitments made by institutions and key stakeholder groups at, and in the follow up from WUF V.

World Urban Forum V

The UN-Habitat will be holding the fifth session of the World Urban Forum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil focusing on the Right to the City: Bridging the Urban Divide. The WUF is a key international venue focusing on human settlements and we will bring forth the recommendations and results generated at the Grassroots Women’s Academy to this important event.

The Huairou Commission, its members, and several partner organizations are developing a comprehensive program that will garner space at the Forum for grassroots women to contribute to policy conversations and present recommendations as key stakeholders in the global effort toward building inclusive and sustainable cities where their re-conceptualization of right to the city is brought into the global agenda
