Next Steps Huairou organizations in Central and South America and Central Africa will assemble current grassroots peace building knowledge before designing a multiyear campaign. Outreach and Documentation The Rwandan Women’s Network will pilot an outreach and documentation in Central Africa; the Arias Foundation will sponsor a similar project in Central America. Knowledge Exchange, Priority Setting and Campaign Design Grassroots leaders from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua will gather to discuss the reconstruction and peace building expertise of their women's groups and to set priorities for joint capacity building and advocacy work for the next three years. This Regional Conference will take place in November 2004. Opportunities Huairou leaders will explore possibilities of linking some of the above initiatives with established peace building processes in the Great Lakes region of Africa. |
