The Women and Governance Campaign is cross-cutting, meaning every Huairou campaign promotes women's participation in decision-making and policy setting. To ensure women are included in agenda-setting and policy-making, the Huairou Commission Governance Campaign works to:
- Promote collaboration with local, national and other institutional actors through strategic partnership building
- Build the capacities of grassroots women to articulate their priorities and demonstrate their abilities to manage and control resources and services, including building the capacity of women to participate in multi-stakeholder dialogues
- Advocate to governments and international institutions to encourage women's contributions through providing them space to meet and organize, childcare during meetings and safe transportation to and from public events.
